Milwaukee Brewers Unveil Truss Club Behind Home Plate at American Family Field

The new 20,000-square-foot all-inclusive club will open in 2027 for holders of 375 premium seats in the first six rows behind home plate, adding the ballpark’s first hospitality product tied directly to its most valuable seating inventory.

The Milwaukee Brewers will open the new Truss Club for the 2027 season at American Family Field, introducing a premium hospitality product linked to 375 seats in the first six rows behind home plate. The project is a joint effort between the Brewers and the Wisconsin Professional Baseball Park District, and the team says it is the most significant fan-facing change at the ballpark since it opened in 2001.

Inside the ballpark, the Brewers will install new padded seats measuring 23 or 24 inches wide from dugout to dugout in the first six rows, including one new row added on what is now the warning track. The team says those will be the widest seats in the ballpark. Access to those seats will include entry to the Truss Club, a 20,000-square-foot building already under construction on the southwest side of the venue that will open onto the field-level concourse.

Pricing starts at $245 per game and includes the ticket, parking, and food and beverage both in the club and at the seat. The inventory will be sold only as part of half-season and full-season packages, with no membership or initiation fees. On game days, the club will open 30 minutes before the rest of the stadium gates.

The Brewers say the club will be organized around a central gathering space with a long bar, two levels of dining areas, and two outdoor decks, one covered and one uncovered. The food-and-beverage program will feature a dedicated chef, scratch-made menu items that change game to game, ballpark staples, occasional guest chefs, specialty food carts, and a sommelier. The package also includes valet parking, a dedicated parking lot, private security screening, private lockers, private restrooms, and a meeting room available for rent.

“Not just in terms of being clean and maintained, but in terms of the fan amenities and the experiences for all fans here at the ballpark.” – Marti Wronski, Chief Operating Officer, Milwaukee Brewers

The club fills a gap in the ballpark’s premium mix. The Brewers said American Family Field has not previously had a premium area tied to the seats behind home plate, making it one of the last MLB venues without that type of product. The project is also tied to the 2023 stadium funding legislation that extended the Brewers’ lease at the venue through at least 2050.  The design team evaluated interior club options closer to the seating bowl before settling on an exterior location.

“But if you’ve ever been in any of those clubs, most of them are dark, and they don’t really celebrate summers in Wisconsin. If there’s an opportunity to have this out on the plaza, I think we’re going to be one of the only teams in MLB that has these outdoor patios.” – Mark Schlifske, Vice President of Business Strategy and Analytics, Milwaukee Brewers

The addition of a new front row will slightly reduce foul ground behind home plate. The Brewers said the foul area will shrink by three to four feet from dugout to dugout and that the club worked with MLB and conducted studies on the potential game-play effect before moving forward.

The Truss Club is one part of a broader set of plaza improvements at American Family Field. The Brewers also plan to open the UW Credit Union Plaza by the end of June, with a performance stage, biergarten, kids' play area, and mini golf, and are building a separate permanent multilevel F&B complex on that side of the plaza for 2027.
