Legends Global to Operate 135,000-Seat VinFast–Trong Dong Stadium in Hanoi
Vingroup names Legends Global its venue management partner for the planned 2027 stadium, with responsibility spanning events, vendors and on-site service operations.
Vingroup has selected Legends Global as its strategic management and operating partner for VinFast–Trong Dong Stadium, a planned 135,000-seat venue in Hanoi scheduled to open July 31, 2027.
The agreement covers venue and facility management, vendor coordination and on-site service operations. Legends Global will also work with Vingroup to attract major international sports, cultural and entertainment events, and help develop local venue management expertise ahead of opening.
“VinFast–Trong Dong Stadium is an extraordinary project for Vietnam, one that will help position Hanoi at the forefront of the global live events industry.” — Dan Levy, CEO, Legends Global
The stadium is planned with an automated retractable roof and real-time security and crowd-flow systems. Its design draws on the Dong Son bronze drum and Lac bird, motifs associated with Vietnamese cultural heritage. It will anchor the wider Hung Vuong International Sports Complex, which is planned to include training facilities, hotels, shopping, parks, cultural and culinary areas, and theaters.
A project overview from VEC describes planned hospitality areas for VIP and VVIP guests, including lounges and private rooms. The partners have not announced a count, layout, pricing or sales timeline for premium seats or suites.
Legends Global said Paul Sergeant OBE is in Hanoi overseeing technical and pre-opening preparations, while recruitment for the stadium operations team is underway. The agreement also makes the company Vingroup’s exclusive provider of stadium, arena and live-event services in Vietnam.
