Bridgestone Arena Begins 'Broadway 2030' Transformation With Premium Upgrades

Bridgestone Arena has begun the first phase of its Broadway 2030 transformation, launching a multi-year renovation program that the Nashville Predators say will be funded by the organization and completed in stages so events can continue without interruption and finished by the 2029-30 season.

The summer 2026 enabling phase is centered on connectivity and circulation. The arena’s south entrance on Demonbreun Street will receive new escalators providing access to all four public levels. The current staircase will be removed and replaced with a system that also reaches the Nicholas Air Suite Level, which houses the venue’s luxury suites, California Closets Studio, and BetMGM Sports Lounge.

By extending direct vertical access to the Nicholas Air Suite Level, the project ties the 2026 work not only to general fan movement but to improved access for suite and club guests using some of the arena’s primary premium spaces.

Concourse work is also included in the first stage, with new landing areas and concession updates planned for the Gary Force Acura Club Level and Bud Light Upper Level. The Predators said those changes respond to fan feedback around circulation and ease of movement in the building.

“We’re excited to be starting this process this summer by getting the arena ready for its next stage. This three-to-four-year journey that we are about to embark on is going to be incredible as we transform Bridgestone Arena into a best-in-class venue for patrons, players and performers. As we begin this process, we invite our fans to give their ideas and input of what they’d like to see in the future. This is their home, and we want them to be a part of this project.” – Kyle Clayton, Chief Strategy Officer, Nashville Predators and Bridgestone Arena

The box office at the Nissan SoBro Entrance will also be expanded as part of the 2026 work. The Predators said that change will improve customer service in the short term and support later Broadway-facing renovations beginning in summer 2027, when the current main box office near the primary Broadway entrance will be reduced in size to make room for future development.

Behind the scenes, the arena is beginning a three-year modernization of its ice plant infrastructure. The first phase this summer includes upgrades to the control system, with new ice plant equipment scheduled for summer 2027 and a full ice floor replacement set for summer 2028.

Bridgestone Arena is also upgrading security and entry operations with Evolv Xpress 2.0 screening technology. The Predators said the building recently became the second NHL venue to introduce Evolv’s Expedite X-ray system, which is intended to increase screening speed compared with traditional entry methods.

The first phase does not yet include a full premium rebuild, but it establishes infrastructure around suite access, club-level circulation, concession service, and entry flow ahead of the larger renovation phases planned for 2027, 2028, and 2029. The Predators said future updates will include revised renderings and additional project details as the work progresses.
