Bank of America Stadium Unveils New Vision For $1.3B Renovation
Bank of America's long-term naming rights renewal comes as the stadium embarks on a more than $1.3 billion renovation that will add new premium hospitality spaces and transform the venue into a year-round entertainment destination.
The Carolina Panthers and Bank of America have agreed to a long-term extension of the naming rights for Bank of America Stadium, continuing one of the NFL’s longest-running naming rights partnerships as the venue enters the next phase of its comprehensive redevelopment.
The announcement coincides with the release of new stadium renderings showcasing fan-focused enhancements planned as part of the multi-year renovation. Tepper Sports & Entertainment also announced it will increase its private investment to move forward with all owner-elected projects, bringing the total investment in the stadium transformation to more than $1.3 billion. The organization will also fund any project cost overruns and ongoing maintenance obligations.

“The long-term extension with Bank of America reflects the strength of our partnership and our shared commitment to the Carolinas. For over three decades, Bank of America Stadium has helped create lasting memories for our fans and we’re excited for them to see what’s ahead. Our goal is to create experiences that enhance the passion and energy of the region while transforming this corridor into a weekend destination for world-class sports, entertainment and community events.” – David Tepper, Owner and Chairman, Tepper Sports & Entertainment
The renovation includes new fan gathering spaces, expanded premium hospitality offerings, upgraded concourses, and enhanced public areas designed to support sports, entertainment, and community events year-round. Construction is being phased to allow the stadium to remain operational for Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC games, with interior work underway in 2026 and fan-facing improvements scheduled to begin in 2027.
The stadium has carried the Bank of America name since 2004, and the renewed agreement reinforces the company’s longstanding relationship with both the Panthers and the Charlotte region. The partnership traces its roots to the franchise’s founding in the early 1990s, when former Bank of America CEO Hugh McColl played a key role in securing the NFL expansion team for the Carolinas.
