Nebraska Sets Two Memorial Stadium Reseats, With $299 Tickets Planned for 2028
Every season-ticket holder will choose seats for the reduced-capacity 2027 season and again for 2028, when Nebraska expects Memorial Stadium to return to roughly 80,000 seats.
Nebraska Athletics will require every football season-ticket holder to select seats twice during Memorial Stadium’s Big Red Rebuild: first for the reduced-capacity 2027 season, then again for 2028 and beyond. Construction affecting the south end zone and west sideline is expected to bring capacity to about 65,000 in 2027 before it returns to approximately 80,000 for 2028.
The 2027 selection is scheduled for spring 2027. Nebraska plans to release that season’s ticket pricing and quantity limits in October 2026. The second selection is scheduled for spring 2028. For that season, general-public season tickets will start at $299, down from $420, with an estimated 5,000 seats at the entry price. Nebraska says approximately 25% of public seats will not require a priority seating contribution.
Priority seating contributions across the stadium will be revalued for both seasons. Nebraska will also end legacy contribution rates in 2027, requiring holders to pay the contribution associated with their selected location. Appointment order will be based on Huskers Athletic Fund rankings, with the 2027 ranking locked February 11. Current season-ticket holders are automatically enrolled in the reseat.
The rebuild’s planned inventory includes renovated West Suites, 12-person Theater Boxes and an updated West Club opening in 2027; luxury and standard loge boxes, a Luxury Club and a Bunker Club are slated for 2028.
