Belmont Park Launches New Membership Program Ahead of Grandstand Reopening
NYRA’s mini plans put early emphasis on preferred seating and premium hospitality as Belmont prepares to reopen with a new $455M grandstand and bigger calendar that includes the 2027 Belmont Stakes and Breeders’ Cup.
The New York Racing Association has launched Belmont Park Mini Plans for 2027, introducing a new membership structure built around flexible access to premium hospitality and preferred seating at the rebuilt venue. The program arrives more than a year before the return of the Belmont Stakes to Long Island and gives NYRA an early vehicle to begin selling recurring premium inventory tied to the new grandstand.
The first inventory being marketed is the Triple Crown Loge Boxes on the third floor. NYRA said the climate-controlled level will include panoramic racetrack views, in-seat tablets for wagering and race viewing, lounge seating, complimentary food and beverage options, priority access to the Triple Crown Terrace and early access to Belmont Stakes Racing Festival hospitality inventory. The Triple Crown Mini Plan guarantees a loge box for 12 race days, including six marquee Saturdays and six additional days selected by the member.
NYRA is also selling a Chairback Mini Plan aimed at buyers seeking a more traditional open-air race-day setting. That package includes reserved chairback seating for 20 race days across the spring, summer and fall meets, positioned along the homestretch above the apron with views of the finish line. Members will receive a daily food-and-beverage credit and priority access to Belmont Stakes Racing Festival ticket inventory.
The launch is part of a broader premium strategy tied to Belmont’s reopening. NYRA has already put additional hospitality products into market, including full-season Champion Suites and Box Seat Club memberships, while also introducing a virtual venue tool that allows buyers to preview sightlines and seating options throughout the facility.
Belmont Park is scheduled to reopen on Sept. 18, 2026 following a multi-year redevelopment centered on a new $455 million grandstand with expanded fan amenities and hospitality offerings. The venue will then move quickly into a major event cycle, with the Belmont Stakes returning to its traditional home in 2027 and the track also set to host the 2027 Breeders’ Cup World Championships, the first Breeders’ Cup held in New York since 2005.
From a premium business standpoint, the mini-plan approach gives NYRA a way to broaden the buyer funnel between single-event hospitality and full-season commitments. It also aligns the new Belmont with a wider venue trend toward membership-style access products that package flexibility, food and beverage benefits, priority ticketing and early entry into marquee-event inventory.
