Detroit Tigers Introduce 'The Press Club' at Comerica Park
Exclusive new premium hospitality space offers an unmatched media-box vantage and elevated service
The Detroit Tigers have unveiled The Press Club, a new premium hospitality experience at Comerica Park that combines iconic game views traditionally reserved for journalists with fine-dining service and all-inclusive amenities. The offering is designed to deliver an intimate, seat-limited environment tailored for fans seeking one of the most distinctive perspectives in baseball.
What’s New
The Press Club occupies a private, climate-controlled space adjacent to the ballpark’s working media press box, the very perch from which many of Detroit’s most memorable Tigers moments have been called. Only a select number of guests per game will enjoy this exclusive vantage point, with the option to open sliding windows for fresh air or stay comfortable indoors with live radio audio. Premium VIP parking and a dedicated entrance are included with access.
Upon arrival two hours before first pitch, guests are greeted with a signature cocktail or mocktail and escorted to their seats. Dining in The Press Club is designed around a rotating, fine-dining-style menu with appetizers, entrées, desserts, and ongoing beverage service featuring wine, beer, cocktails, and alcohol-free options.
Members also enjoy all-access privileges to other premium club areas on the same level, including the Champions Club and the all-new MotorCity Casino Hotel Tiger Club, which offers a range of classic ballpark fare and access to The D Shop at Comerica Landing for merchandise.
Inside the Experience
This offering pivots away from traditional club seating by centering the experience on location and service. Being adjacent to the press box positions fans where broadcasters and journalists witness every pitch and play, reinforcing the experiential value beyond just comfort or amenities. Guests can tailor their environment with sliding windows for open-air viewing or a relaxed indoor setting, all framed by hospitality staff focused on personalized service.
F&B is treated as a core value proposition: a printed menu with rotating entrée selections and elevated dessert options supports the idea of hospitality that feels closer to a fine-dining restaurant than a typical ballpark lounge. The pairing of elevated cuisine, premium beverages, and curated service at shift points sets The Press Club apart from many traditional MLB club environments.

The Press Club complements a broader premium strategy by the Tigers and other MLB franchises to diversify hospitality tiers and create more experiential offerings. Recent changes at Comerica Park, such as the MotorCity Casino Hotel Tiger Club and the Priority Club, reflect demand for both high-end and accessible premium spaces, spanning price points and guest expectations.
Across professional sports, there’s a continued shift toward experience-driven premium products that elevate fan engagement beyond the game itself, leveraging unique sightlines, curated service, and enhanced F&B concepts as differentiators in a competitive entertainment landscape.
