Celta Taps OVG Hospitality to Transform F&B at ABANCA Balaídos
The partnership marks OVG Hospitality’s entry into Spain, with a new food, beverage, and hospitality concept planned as part of the ongoing modernization of Celta’s stadium.
Celta has selected Oak View Group Hospitality to transform the food, beverage, and hospitality program at ABANCA Balaídos, marking OVG Hospitality’s first project in Spain and expanding the company’s European sports venue portfolio.
Under the agreement, Celta and OVG Hospitality will develop a new food and beverage concept for supporters, corporate clients, and other visitors. The program will support both matchdays and other events hosted at ABANCA Balaídos as Celta continues the modernization of its stadium and expands its use beyond football.

“We are particularly proud to launch OVG Hospitality’s operations alongside Celta. This project reflects our commitment to Spain and to a hospitality model that combines excellence, sustainability and close collaboration with the local business community.” – Toni Ortega, President for Southern Europe, OVG
OVG Hospitality manages food and beverage services across a growing international portfolio of sports and entertainment venues. Its experience includes Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas and Manchester City’s Etihad Campus, while its European portfolio also includes Southampton FC and Co-op Live in Manchester.
The hospitality program at ABANCA Balaídos will emphasize local identity, sustainability, innovation, and collaboration with businesses in Vigo and the surrounding region. Celta is positioning the stadium as a more open and modern venue capable of hosting a broader range of experiences and events.
“A world-class venue such as ABANCA Balaídos can be transformative for Vigo and the wider region. A high-quality food and beverage offering will help boost tourism, create new opportunities for local businesses and generate a positive and sustainable economic impact over the long term.” – Amy Latimer, Chief Business Officer, OVG
The agreement adds a dedicated hospitality component to Celta’s ongoing infrastructure strategy at ABANCA Balaídos. The club has continued to bring internationally recognized partners into the stadium project as it upgrades facilities and services and develops the venue as a meeting place that extends beyond football.
“Partnering with a company like OVG means a great deal to us and helps us meet the infrastructure demands of modern football. We are working to ensure that our facilities are seen as an asset that enables us to continue growing as a club and provides us with long-term stability.” – Marián Mouriño, President, Celta
The partnership could eventually extend beyond ABANCA Balaídos. The agreement provides for the possibility of expanding OVG’s involvement into the developing Celta360 ecosystem, also known as the Factoría del Deporte Gallego.
Celta360 is the club’s major strategic project to transform its existing training complex into a global hub encompassing innovation, health, education, and high-performance sport. An expansion of the OVG relationship could bring the company’s hospitality capabilities into that broader development.
