Ball Arena’s $135 Million Renovation Adds Three Clubs and Reworks Fan Circulation
Kroenke Sports & Entertainment plans a new east atrium, wider concourses, faster concessions and three premium clubs, with completion targeted for the 2028–29 seasons.
Kroenke Sports & Entertainment has unveiled a phased $135 million renovation of Ball Arena in Denver. The plan reaches across the guest journey, from a rebuilt east-side arrival point to wider concourses, faster transactions and new premium spaces. KSE expects to finish the work in time for the 2028–29 NBA and NHL seasons.
The most visible change will be an expanded East Atrium facing downtown. Renderings show a broad glass façade, while the program calls for new escalators and a new team store. KSE also plans to widen entrances, exits, and the busiest concourses to reduce crowding as guests move between the street, concessions and their seats.
On the premium side, the project adds three clubs. One will connect directly to reserved seating on the 100 level, a detail that positions it as a seat-linked hospitality product rather than a standalone lounge. KSE has not yet released names, capacities, pricing or food-and-beverage details for the clubs.

Those additions sit alongside an already announced luxury-suite renovation. The first 24 refreshed Legacy Suites on the 100 level and Signature Suites on the 200 level are scheduled to debut during the 2026–27 seasons. Together, the club and suite programs expand Ball Arena’s premium offer across several seating tiers while the larger building renovation proceeds.
The general-admission experience is part of the investment too. KSE says point-of-sale technology will be upgraded to shorten waits. The new work follows the arena’s $5 Fan-Friendly concessions menu and Local Eats program, which brought locally owned restaurants and vendors into the venue last season.
KSE plans to carry out construction in phases to limit disruption to events and surrounding neighborhoods. It submitted a site development plan to the City of Denver on September 18. Ball Arena, which opened as Pepsi Center in 1999, hosts the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Mammoth, as well as concerts and other events.
The renovation also serves as an early step in KSE’s broader plan to remake the 55-acre property around the arena. That district is expected to add dining, shopping, housing, offices, a hotel, a park and a mid-size entertainment venue. A more transparent east entrance would give the existing arena a clearer connection to the future neighborhood.
